한국의 대중가요를 K-Pop(Korean Pop 또는 Korean Popular Music)이라 한다. K-Pop은 넓게는 한국의 대중음악 중 댄스·힙합·R&B·발라드·록·일렉트로닉 음악 등을 일컫는 말로 사용된다. K pop 이라는 용어가 널리 쓰이기 시작한 것은 2000년대 중반 이후 세계인들이 한국 대중가요를 즐기면서부터이다. 요즈음 kpop이 세계인의 주목을 받는 것을 굳이 설명할 필요가 없을 정도가 되었지만, 그 시작을 거슬러 올라가면 1992년, 서태지와 아이들을 만날 수 있다. 데뷔 곡부터 가요계의 지각을 흔들었다는 말이 어울리는 서태지와 아이들의 리더였던 서태지는 아직도 문화대통령으로 불릴 정도로 그 위상에 흔들림이 없다. ‘너에게’는 1993년에 발매된 서태지와 아이들 2집의 수록 곡으로 대한민국의 대표 발라드 가수인 성시경이 리메이크하여 20년 만에 다시 큰 인기를 얻고 있다.

Seo, Tae-Ji who was a leader of ‘Children with Seo, Tae-Ji’ matching with saying of causing crustal movement of the music world from debut song has been called the president of culture so its status is still firm. ‘너에게’ is a song from ‘Children with Seo, Tae-Ji’’ second album released in 1993 and Korea’s representative ballad singer, Sung, Si-Kyung did a cover of the song, which has gain population in 20 years.
