남부뉴저지통합한국학교, 혁신적 교육 플랫폼 구축 및 수업방식 전환으로 재도약 원년 선언

남부뉴저지통합한국학교 (KSSNJ / 교장 김정숙)와 비상교육 (대표 양태회)은 지난 달 master k 플랫폼  계약을 체결하여 한국학교 전용 사이트를 구축하고, 화상 솔루션, 학습관리시스템(LMS), 스마트러닝 솔루션(klass), 일반 한국어 및 TOPIK 이러닝 콘텐츠, AI 한국어 발음평가 등 한국어 교육에 필요한 플랫폼을 구축했다. 김정숙 교장은 “이번 비상교육의 교육 플랫폼 도입으로 대면 수업과 비대면 수업의 장점을 융합, 학생들에게 교육 효과의 극대화를 기대한다“고 말했다. ”또한 빠른 시일 내에 한국어 학습을 원하는 학부모들과 한류에 큰 관심을 보이는 현지 미국인들에게도 온라인 한국어 교육 프로그램을 제공할 계획“이라고 밝혔다. 

학교측은 신학기 개강을 준비하면서 교육포털을 도입함과 동시에 전반적인 교과과정을 개편했다. 수업 진행 방식도 모듈수업으로 변경하여 학생들이 문법, 어휘, 활동(말하기/듣기/쓰기), 한국사를 각 20분씩 집중적으로 학습한다. 또한 지난학기 까지 신청자들에게만 제공되던 한국전통문화예술 특화반 수업을 신학기부터는 1학년 이상의 전체 학생 대상의 필수 교육과정으로 포함시켜 확대, 전문 강사의 직강을 통해 수준 높은 한국전통문화예술을 체험하고 습득하도록 주력했다. 지난 9일 개강일에 전면 도입한 새 프로그램을 시행한 결과, 대다수의 학생들로부터 "재미있다"는 긍정적인 피드백을 받았으며, 학교는 교육플랫폼을 최대한 활용하여 학생들의 실력향상을 위해 최선을 다하겠다고 밝혔다.

KSSNJ Declares a New Beginning with Innovative Education Platform and Teaching Approach

Korean School of Southern New Jersey (KSSNJ / Principal Chung Kim) and Visang Education Inc. (President Taehoe Yang) recently signed a contract with the master k platform to create a dedicated education platform for KSSNJ. They have built essential platforms for Korean language education, including video conferencing solutions, a learning management system (LMS), smart learning solutions (klass), e-learning content for general Korean and TOPIK, as well as an AI-based Korean pronunciation assessment tool. Principal Chung Kim expressed, "With the introduction of the education platform of Visang Education, Inc., we expect to maximize the educational benefits by combining the advantages of face-to-face and online classes." She also stated, "We plan to offer online Korean language education programs to parents and to local community members who show great interest in the Korean wave."

As the school prepares for the new semester, not only they have implemented a new education portal, but also revamped the overall curriculum. They have shifted the teaching method to module-based classes, where students focus intensively on grammar, vocabulary, activities (speaking/listening/writing), and Korean history in 20-minute intervals during 80-minute classes. Additionally, starting from this semester, the Korean traditional culture and arts specialized classes, which were previously only available to applicants, have been expanded to become a mandatory course for all students from the first grade and above. The school is committed to providing students with the opportunity to experience and acquire a high level of Korean traditional culture and arts through direct instruction from professional instructors. After implementing the new program on the opening day, which was September 9th, the school received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the majority of students, and they have pledged to make the most of the education platform to help students improve their skills.
